Recycle anything electrical: computers, cables, battery backups, monitors, old printers, software discs, cell phones and charges, and virtually any other equipment you may want to discard, including room air conditioners. SAFE CENTERS FOR SENIORS
Westchester County’s support for at-risk elderly or a family member overwhelmed by the demands of caregiving. Signs that may signal an at-risk senior include isolation, depression, fear, poor hygiene, hunger and unexplained bruises or burns. SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM – SNAP
Identifies and serves ages 60 and older, who are at nutritional risk or those who are permanently disabled. They can receive a nutritious meal in their homes or at nutrition sites. Meals delivered five days a week and in some communities six or seven. Special dietary needs considered. TELEHEALTH INTERVENTION SVCS.
Trained technology students visit locations and take vital signs of seniors; data is then transmitted to telehealth nurses who review it remotely. If the tests show cause for immediate concern, the nurse will make contact. 914.813.6300

Users are responsible for transportation costs only for their relative and the escort if they travel by taxi or bus. Senior Crime Busters Senior Crime Busters is a proactive elder fraud and crime prevention program that provides tips to seniors on how to stay safe and avoid financial exploitation and other scams. Burke Rehabilitation Hospital’s DRIVER EVALUATION PROGRAM
Assessment includes an in-clinic portion, where an occupational therapist administers tests that measure essential skills required to drive safely and, when appropriate, an in-vehicle test with a driving school follows.
