SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME – SSI; People with limited income aged 65 and older or who are blind or disabled at any age may be entitled to SSI in addition to Social Security benefits. This benefit provides monthly cash benefits to meet food, clothing and shelter needs and automatically qualifies you for Medicaid. The amount of this benefit depends on a number of factors.
