The Art Center will open to Members for a special Member Week from July 8-13. All visitors, including Members, will be required to reserve a timed ticket in advance of visiting. To pre-register, visit stormking.org/visit. Upcoming outdoor exhibits:
July 15 – November 9 Kiki Smith River Light
A solo exhibition of outdoor works, marks the artist’s first presentation of flags—a new element within her expansive production—in the United States. For this exhibition Kiki Smith has created a new collection of flags whose unpredictable, ever-changing movements mimic the ebb and flow of water in a river. Installed on Storm King’s Museum Hill with long views of Storm King Mountain and the Hudson Highlands, the flags present an ephemeral installation that is activated by the natural world around it. Storm King Art Center is located in the town of Cornwall, NY. For GPS purposes use: 1 Museum Road, New Windsor, NY 12553.
July 15 – November 9 Outlooks: Martha Tuttle
Tuttle’s project, which will unfold across eight acres of a large, rolling field at the southern end of Storm King’s property, builds upon the artist’s ongoing interest in our relationship to materiality, engaging directly with Storm King’s landscape to further these investigations into the unification of natural forms with the energy and touch of the human hand. Accompanied by a virtual poetry program. Storm King Art Center is located in the town of Cornwall, NY. For GPS purposes use: 1 Museum Road, New Windsor, NY 12553.
