Explore New York’s immigrant history through its iconic foods on a guided walking tour with chef Renee Cohen. Visit classic spots like Kossar’s, Russ & Daughters, Yonah Schimmel, local pizzerias, and more, with a stop at the historic Eldridge Street Synagogue. A flavorful cultural experience. On Friday, February 6, at the Hudson River Museum Celebrate Black History Month with an evening of live jazz featuring the Bobby LaVell Jazz Quintet. A longtime Yonkers resident, LaVell has performed worldwide with legends including Ray Charles, B.B. King, and Cab Calloway. Enjoy two sets of original and classic jazz compositions from the American Songbook at 5:30 and 6:45pm. The show runs from February 28 to March 8, and follows the romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher Levi, turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things.” A show that first premiered on Broadway in 1964.
