winter wonderland

Westchester’s Winter Wonderland drive-through holiday light extravaganza – for the kid in all of us – is back  this year, at Kensico Dam Plaza. Presented by Westchester Parks Foundation and WMC Health, attractions include a set of elves – Ned and Albert, glittering angels, dancing trees, glowing snowballs, Candy Cane Lane, a spectacular 100-foot light tunnel, a 40-foot Christmas tree and more.

Without traffic, the drive takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Once starting on the route, visitors will not be able to leave their vehicles.

You can enjoy it all from the safety and warmth of your car. Proceeds from the event enable the Parks Foundation to invest in preservation, conservation, use and enjoyment of Westchester’s 18,000 acres of parks. The festive celebration kicks off on Friday, November 26 at 6 p.m. and runs for five consecutive weeks, through January 2, 2022. The Wonderland is open seven nights a week; tickets are $25 per vehicle off-peak and $35 for peak times. Advance ticket purchase is recommended; go to www.showclix.com/event/wwinterwonderland
