OUR MISSION
Our mission at Westchester Senior Voice is to empower and enrich the lives of boomers and seniors in Westchester County, NY by delivering relevant, authoritative, and inspirational content – enabling our readers to make genuinely informed and thoughtful choices as they age. Conveying a sensibility of “positive aging,” we provide relevant, authoritative and inspirational content from local experts. We also introduce and connect readers to the community businesses, professionals and services they should know about.
We believe the 55+ community in Westchester deserves a magazine that celebrates and embraces the full person – because age is just a number. Please join in our vision by reading and staying connected with us, letting your friends and family members know about us, and supporting us through advertising, as appropriate.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Westchester Senior Voice was conceived by Susan E. Ross, co-founder and original long-time publisher of the local parenting magazines Westchester Family, New York Family and Connecticut Family. Under her tenure as Publisher, those magazines became the essential resource for families in each of their respective markets. Back then, Susan was dedicated to providing parents with the resources and information they needed to raise a family. Today, she feels equally passionate about providing essential information to another active and involved generation of readers.
As a Certified Senior Advisor and lifelong resident of Westchester County, NY, with decades-rich experience in media and publishing, Susan is uniquely qualified to embrace and serve boomers (of which she is a qualified member!) and seniors in the Westchester community. Leveraging her expertise in delivering relevant, local content, Susan is passionate about creating a platform – both in print and online – which honors and seeks to enrich the journey ahead in a way no other local publication or online presence has done.
