recycle your old computer and more

So you’ve treated yourself to a new laptop…now, what are you going to dowith the old one?

Since there’s always a bad guy out there looking to steal your personal information, don’t make it easy for them by putting your old laptop or computer out on the curb on garbage pickup day.

Believe it or not, it can be safely “recycled,” and even possibly rebuilt and donated for further use by an underprivileged child who might not otherwise have access to a computer.

That’s where I come in. I will come to your business or your home, and pick up your old equipment to rebuild or recycle if it really is of no further use. I will make sure your personal info (which is stored on your hard drive) has been removed. If you haven’t taken out the hard drive, I will do that when I come. That’s the only part of an old computer (or laptop) that stores any of your personal information. I rebuild and donate where I can.

I also pick up almost anything that’s electrical: room air conditioners, microwaves, flat screen TVs, old printers, cell phones and chargers, laptops, cables and wiring, battery backups, monitors, lamps small appliances (like hairdryers) and virtually any other electrical equipment you may want to discard.

You’ll have to find someone else, though, to take your old dishwasher or fridge!

This is an entirely free service. Call me (Bob) at 914-661-3605 to arrange for your pickup.
